Energy Efficiency
At Hampton Conservatories, we take the environment very seriously and with all our products we aim to save you money whilst helping to provide for a greener future.
If you look at the facts, you will appreciate how significant energy efficient windows and doors can be. Around 10 per cent of heat is lost through badly fitted single glazed windows and a further 15 per cent through poor quality doors. In some older properties this can be as much as upto 50 per cent.
The amount of the energy we use to heat, light and cool our homes ris nearly half of the carbon dioxide emissions in the UK. Energy efficient buildings with features like double glazing save fossil fuels for future generations and help to reduce pollution that damages the environment. Another huge benefit is that you can save money, with the average electricity costs around 11p per kWh, the average house has eight square metres of glass so double glazing could save home owners an estimated £167 per year.
All our windows, doors and conservatories can reduce your fuel bills and keep the outside elements out. They include excellent heat insulation features with tight fitting seals and Pilkington low E glass, which is a special kind of glass with an invisible, heat reflective coating that makes it more energy efficient to help the environment and save you money.
